| SELF DFEENCE FEDERATION INSTRUCTOR DIPLOMA In association with their Affiliate Partners, The C.M.A.A, Dave Turton and the Self Defence Federation can offer their own unique "Self Defence Instructor's Diploma Awards" Overview | Instructor Levels | Fees, Dates & Booking |
||||||||||||
| OVERVIEW | ||||||||||||
| The S.D.F. believe that persons with sufficient training and skills, regardless of their current grade levels, can carry out the INSTRUCTING of Self Defence. They do NOT need to be of Back Belt level. Even if they are of Black Belt status, this is no proof that they can teach Self Defence, after all their grades will be in whatever Martial Art (s) they have trained in. Take some one for example who is ex-military, been a prison officer and has worked the doors. This person may have have lots of experience and skills in real Self Defence, but may have NO qualifications. We can provide these qualifications through the S.D.F. Self Defence Instructor Diploma Programme. Another example would be someone with a Brown Belt in 2 different arts, Kickboxing & Ju-Jitsu for example. They too can take the S.D.F. Course and TEACH self defence under our banner with our full backing and support. The S.D.F. operates several ways in which these Awards cna be taken, but there are a few provisos... 1. The candidate must have had SOME relevant Martial Arts / Self Defence type training. Rank beginners will not have the basic abilities. 2. They must be at least 18 years old for insurance reasons. 3. They must become a MEMBER of the S.D.F. as our insurance cover only applies to S.D.F. members when teaching Seld Defence. Please note on successful completion of the course candidates will receive FREE membership of the S.D.F. for one whole year. 4. They must acknowledge their S.D.F. qualifications in any advertising literature or on the Net. 5. The Award allows the holder to TEACH Self Defence at whatever levels they are skilled in, but it does NOT allow them to give out grades in Self Defence until such time as the holder qualifies as a Black Belt in the S.D.F.'s own Self Defence System. With regards to becoming a member of the S.D.F. this can be done in two ways. One is by simply joining as an individual member BEFORE deciding to take the Instructor's Award. Or Secondly by attending one of our one day Instructor's courses and if succesful the S.D.F. membership is automatic and free with the Diploma. As a registered S.D.F. Instructor, you will be entered onto our database and any enquiries for Self Defence classes from your area will be directed to you. You will be provided with our full backing in any way we can give it. Training.....The Award can be obtained in TWO ways... 1. By attending one of our Nationwide regular one day courses and if successful you will automatically become a registered Self Defence Instructor as well as becoming a member of the S.D.F. 2. The least common way is as a current member of the S.D.F. and working through the grades in our own unique Self Defence System. Then on reaching the rankl of 1st Dan you will automatically become a registered Self Defence Instructor. INTERESTED??
