PLEASE NOTE: Any one can become a Referee regardless of whether they train in the Martial Arts or not.

C.M.A.A. Referee Dress Code
It is requested that all Referees wear a white shirt and a C.M.A.A. Tie, black or grey trousers and soft sole shoes. Ties can be ordered direct from this website.

C.M.A.A. rules and guidelines although similar do not reflect on those used by other groups. Therefore it is advised that all Competitors, Coaches and any person representing a Competitor read them in full.

 

GAINING ACCREDITATION

The courses cover the rules stated in the C.M.A.A. Rules & Guidelines as well as practical application of Refereeing skills. Certification as a C, B or A Class Referee is then gained by working the mats / areas at C.M.A.A. events or any other event where an A Class Referee is present.

FREESTYLE AND FULL CONTACT REFEREE CLASSIFICATIONS
Class A: Entitled to act as a Head Referee / Area Manager in the Art stated at all C.M.A.A. Local or National events

 

Class B: Entitled to act as a Centre Referee in the Art stated at all C.M.A.A. Local or National Events

 

Class C: Entitled to act as a Corner Referee in the Art stated at all C.M.A.A. Local or National Events

Class 1: Entitled to act as Referee at all C.M.A.A. Local or National Events

Class 2: Entitled to act as Mirror Judge at all C.M.A.A. Local or National Events

 

GAINING ACCREDITATION

The courses cover the rules stated in the C.M.A.A. Rules & Guidelines as well as practical application of Refereeing skills.
