Northern Ireland
Black Belt Gradings

Sunday 14th June 2009
On Sunday the 14th of June The Cobra Ju-Jitsu Clubs in Belfast, Northern Ireland held Black Belt gradings.

The following is a short report submitted by Sensei Adrian Green:

"Participating students were from the Ardoyne and Blackmountain Ju-jitsu Clubs. The grading was small and intimate.  It began with a written exam on Ju-Jitsu theory, anatomy and general Japanese terminology.  After that, the students settled into the physical part of the grading which consisted of Katas, throwing techniques, counters to throws and combination throwing techniques. This was interspersed with padwork drills, kicking techniques and ground-fighting. The session finished off with a burnout session of throws.  At this stage the parents were invited in for the belt and certificate presentation ceremony. Four students were presented with their Junior Black Belt and three students achieved Senior Black Belt. Well done to all concerned and thanks to all the Instructors on the Black Belt Grading Panel. "

Those who passed their Junior Black Belt were:

Tammy Dobbin (Blackmountain)
