The Law & Training courses

The Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 states that if you have identified that first aiders are needed in your environment, they must gain a certificate of competence from a training organisation that has been approved by HSE. Before booking onto any course you should check that the trainer and, most importantly, the certificate you will receive are HSE approved.

Cobra First Aid Trainer / Assessors

Having spent 18 years (up to 2001) as a member of the St John Ambulance Brigade,
Andrew Morrell is still a HSE approved First Aid Trainer / Assessor registered with
First Response Associates.

Emergency Aid for Appointed Persons

This course is ideal for environments that present few health and safety risks where a nominated person is required to take charge in the event of illness or accident. 

Who should attend?

A person who is the nominated person i.e. the Supervisor, Club Instructor or Assistant Instructor responsible for the well being of Staff, Students and Members.

Course Duration

4 hours or 1 day dependant on the number of Candidates

Assessment

Continuous assessment throughout the course

Certification

A Nationally recognised HSE certificate (valid for three years),
is issued on successful completion of the course.
However it is recommended that this is renewed every two years.


Fees

C.M.A.A. Licence Members: £30 (subsidised)
Non-C.M.A.A. Members: £60 

Accredited Prior Learning and Continued Professional Development

This qualification will also be accredited to the
Martial Arts Instructor UK Training Programme.
