The Cobra Martial Arts Association are a
St John Ambulance Approved
First Aid Training Provider.


Having spent 18 years as an active St John Ambulance member Andrew Morrell is an approved First Aid Trainer / Assessor and as such is authorised to deliver
First Aid courses fully accredited and certified by St John Ambulance.

Assisting Andrew is our second Trainer is Peter Hartley who has over 30 years experience and is an active high ranking officer within the
St John Ambulance Brigade, Manchester.

Emergency Aid for Appointed Persons
This course is ideal for Martial Arts Clubs and smaller workplaces that present few health and safety risks where a nominated person is required to take charge in the event of illness or accident.

Who should attend?

A person who is the nominated person i.e. the Supervisor, Club Instructor or Assistant Instructor responsible for the well being of Staff, Students and Members.

What they will learn ?

Basic lifesaving First Aid and the relevant regulations

Course content
~ Insight into Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations ~
~ Managing an incident (Including The C.M.A.A. IMAP) ~
~ Priorities of First Aid ~
~ Resuscitation ~
~ Blood loss ~
~ Treatment of an unconscious casualty ~
~ Treatment of shock ~
~ General discussion on common Club / Workplace injuries ~

Course Duration
4 hours or 1 day dependant on the number of Candidates

Assessment
Continuous assessment by St John Ambulance Approved Trainer

Certificate & Fees
A St John Ambulance Course Book and a Nationally recognised St. John Ambulance certificate, valid for three years, is issued on successful completion of the course.
However it is recommended that this is renewed every two years.

C.M.A.A. Licence Members: £50
Non-C.M.A.A. Members: £65
Discounts will apply to C.M.A.A. Affiliates

Accredited Prior Learning and Continued Professional Development
This qualification will also be accredited to the
Martial Arts Instructor UK Training Programme.

Continuous assessment by the course trainer ensures that successful
candidates receive a certificate valid for 3 years at the end of the course.
