| www.martialartsinstructor.co.uk Over View | FAQ | Instructor Levels | Training Courses | Manual | Course Trainers | Fees ATTENDING INSTRUCTOR TRAINING COURSES Courses are open to both members and non-members and are held at regular intervals throughout the year. They are listed on the events page on the C.M.A.A. website (www.cmaa.co.uk). Attendance on our Instructor training courses is recommended for: Candidates working towards Level 2: Once per year Candidates working towards Level 1: Once per year Externally Qualified Instructors taking the programme: Attendance on one course leading to Level 1 status is advised. All Level 1 qualified: Once every 2 years as part of your own C.P.D. Course Content Courses run for around 5 hours (dependant on number of attendees) and include the following subjects. Health & Safety in your Dojo / Club Risk Assessments Insurance & It's Importance What we can and cannot teach in the eyes of our Insurer Problem Students and Discipline Child Protection & Codes of Conduct Instructor Ethics Club Management An Introduction to First Aid (Full certification can be gained via www.cobrafirstaid.co.uk) Communication Skills Character Building Exercises FOOT NOTE The Martial Arts Instructor UK training programme may seem intense to some. However the C.M.A.A. has a high duty of care and as such would rather have Instructors who know the answers rather than ones who think they do. |
