| All C.M.A.A. members are automatically covered by our group insurance policy, free of charge, to train within C.M.A.A. clubs and at C.M.A.A. events so long as their C.M.A.A. membership/licence is in date. Beginners and visitors must take out C.M.A.A. membership after 3 sessions in order to continue training and be covered by our group policy. The C.M.A.A. Ofsted The C.M.A.A. have been granted exemption from Ofsted registration under section 9 of the exemptions list. Mixed Martial Arts / Cage Fighting While our policy does cover non competitive training in Mixed Martial Arts, fights in a cage/ring and sparring are excluded from this and all policies. For further information please contact the C.M.A.A. - Click Here. Summary of Cover (Worldwide excluding the USA & Canada) Instructors (Student Age limits: NONE.): Civil Liability* at £5,000,000. All students must be C.M.A.A. members. Cover also applies to and includes all Instructors and Assistant Instructors under the direct control and supervision of the Head Instructor holding the Policy. However the Head Instructor must be present at all times and in the event that he / she is not then the others will need to take out their own cover. Question: What is Civil Liability? Answer: Perkins Slade provide a unique Civil Liability Policy for Sport and Recreation. Effectively it covers all non criminal legal liability in a single wording, embracing Public and Products Liability, Professional Indemnity, Libel and Slander and Directors' and Officers' Indemnity. It was created specifically for National Sport and Recreation Associations and includes liability: * Arising out of injury to any person (excluding employees) * In respect of loss or damage to third party property * In respect of nuisance and trespass * In respect of libel and / or slander commited in good faith * Arising out of advice, tuition or coaching provided Students (Student age limits: NONE.): Member / Member and Public Liablity. This is FREE as part of C.M.A.A. membership and provides cover should a claim be made against them for injuring another or damaging property while training. Personal Accident (Student age limits: 3 to 65 years.): Temporary Total Disablement (max 52 weeks first 2 weeks deferred) - If gainfully employed: £50 per week. If unemployed: £15 per week If a school child: £5 per week Permanent Total Disablement from any gainful occupation for which he/she is fitted for by education, training of knowledge, including loss of eye(s) and/or limb(s) £25,000 Accidental Death Over 16 years old: £15,000 Under 16 years old: £2,000 Notes * Instructors Civil Liability is "claims made" and as such is only valid as long as the policy is in date. Should a claim be made as a result of an incident that happened during the policy life the holder would not be covered if it has expired at the time of the claim.
