BUDO KAI KARATE-JITSU

 

 

Sensei Chris Hill is the Chief Instructor of the Budo Kai Karate-Jitsu. He holds a 6th Dan in Ju-Jitsu (C.M.A.A.) and a 3rd Dan in Wado Ryu Karate. He has been training in the martial arts for 25 years and has trained with top national and international Instructors. He has been teaching martial arts for 20 years and formed the Budo Kai Karate-Jitsu in 1990 to incorporate both styles of Karate and Ju-Jitsu. There are two clubs, one based in Bentley, Walsall and the other in Bilston, Wolverhampton. Sensei Chris Hill is assisted by Tony Taylor 2nd Dan and Barry Hill 2nd Dan (Club Secretary). All Instructors are First Aid trained.

 

In the clubs we teach both senior and junior students, the juniors (15 and under) are taught karate techniques with an element of ju-jitsu. Fitness, etiquette and respect are a large part of the juniors' training. We have been invited to do many demonstrations at local schools who have heard about us through our students which in turn proved a great way to gain new members. We also hold our own inter-club championships with almost all junior students taking part. We take junior students from the age of 5.

 

The emphasis in the senior class is on self-defence. This incorporates all ju-jitsu techniques including kicks, punches, strikes, chokes, locks, throws, groundwork and small weapons training. We also work on focus mitts and striking shields. The senior classes are open to a large variety of students. Anyone is welcome, male or female, to come along and train in our classes. We have students from a varietyof backgrounds including security personnel.

 

We are also available for private tuition and small groups. These can be arranged through Chris or Barry.
